Specialist Excavator Course
If you are looking to further your career and take the next steps in the construction industry, then you need excavator training. We are a leading provider of practical training and tests within the Construction Plant Competence Scheme, specialising in excavator training.
To become a Plymouth plant operator, you need to have successful completion of basic construction training along with specialised excavator training to get your NPORs operator card. Without this card, it will be difficult for you to work in the construction industry, no matter where you are based in the UK.
Excavators are one of the most used machines in the yard, being used to level surfaces so they are suitable to place materials onto. Excavating tasks can take place on varying terrain, which is why you need to obtain a formal qualification before you can enter the driver’s cab.
Our company is a leading provider of practical tests in Plymouth as well as both underground and overhead services and can aid you through your excavator training. Contact us today to learn more.
We are a leading provider of underground and overhead services in Plymouth, including practical training as required by the construction industry.
Our company offers NPORS excavator training, which needs to take place before the practical test can be completed. Those who pass the practical tests will then be given an NPORS traditional card which shows that they have a basic understanding of a particular machine.
Without this qualification, it will be difficult to do any basic construction work across the UK because of the machinery involved. Working with our company’s practical training, we can get you certified to further your career and remain safe on site.
We are renowned for our exceptional service and have helped hundreds of people gain their NPORS excavator operator card over the years. We also offer training for other transporting vehicles which are required in the construction sector, ensuring that all worksites are safe and managed well.

Before you can take this Plymouth training course, there are some things you need to do.
Firstly, you will most likely already have passed the CITB Operatives Health, Safety, and Environment Test. This needs to have been taken within the last two years prior to the course start date.
It is also important for you to have a good understanding of spoken and written English.
The course usually takes between one and five days to complete, but it can take as long as 10 days, based on your prior experience.
There are two elements to the course, which include the training and testing. The training is a combination of classroom-based teaching and practical lessons, helping you to get used to the machinery and controlling it in confined spaces and similar settings. There are also lessons on theoretical matters such as health and safety.
In most cases, there will be one whole day dedicated to testing, but this can vary based on your requirements.
Once you have completed training in Plymouth, you will be given a CPCS card which shows that you are legally able to operate an excavator on-site.
This license will show that you are able to control heavy machinery on site and is accredited by the national scheme. This means it can be used to further your career and contribute to training in additional areas if this is required by your job.
As we offer an accredited course, you will be recognised nationally with this certification and able to control heavy machinery on site, in confined spaces, and in other areas which are required by your job role.
